Born in Vermilion, Ohio, MP Murphy has been significantly influenced by his time spent on the shores of Lake Erie. Nothing inspired him quite like the open waters, so MP Murphy decided to seek out his undergrad degree in Saint Augustine, Florida at Flagler College. While there he met his wife and the two of them eventually moved to Charleston, South Carolina. It was in Charleston that MP Murphy published his first novel, Crooked River, and began to write Holy City. Finishing up graduate school at Tiffin University, MP Murphy and his wife would return to Ohio and eventually settle in Cleveland with their two dogs.
Following the publication of the second and most successful novel in the Jack Francis Series, Holy City, MP Murphy diverged on a new path for his work. First with Killing Floor: Memoir of a Serial Killer, the author explored the anger found in society and how it can resonate through the actions of one man. Most recently, Sideways: A Treatise on the Corruption of a Constitutional Government, signaled his first foray into non-fiction and combined a background in history with modern politics. The author’s current plans are to finish the third novel in the Jack Francis Series.
